Monday’s To-Do List

After my second cup of coffee this morning, I meditated on my Monday To-Do List.

Here’s what went through my mind:

Ai yi yi yi yi!

Between feeding chickens, helping Tom, checking on Mom, and organizing a just-moved-in house, I couldn’t find a sticky big enough.

I think the term is overwhelmed.

I pulled out my Bible.

Here’s what Psalm 105:1-4 says:

“Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders.

Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad. Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually.”

Here’s my new list:

Give thanks.

Call on the LORD’s name.

Make His deeds known.

Speak of Him.

Glory in His name.

Be glad.

Seek Him.

That list is doable.

And I think it makes all the other stuff doable.

Here’s a song I’m going to be singing today.

Have a great Monday.

Good Morning, Friend! What a great song — one of my favorites — although I prefer Rachel’s rendition. :)

“For I know that my Redeemer lives,
    And He shall stand at last on the earth;
And after my skin is destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another,
How my heart yearns within me!” Job 19:25-27

What a wonderful testimony of faith made by a righteous, tortured man. I like your second list; I’m making it mine today as well.

I know that’s your favorite. My to-do list is getting bogged down again. I need to re-evaluate each day. Thanks, friend!
